July 09 2010, MBI PEDAGOGICAL COURSE for English Teacher.
Tun Abdul Razak Campus. Yang Berbahagia Director of The IPGM TAR Campus giving away the certificates in the closing of the course. MBI Pedagogical course is for the English teacher in Samarahan District. There are twenty nine participants taking part in the course. The course was conducted by the facilitators form the IPGM Tun Abdul Razak Campus. Miss Tan Lee Hoon and Mr Vasudevan Ramasami are both from Jabatan Bahasa. The course is about on how to make the lesson more interesting with a lot of interesting activities. The teachers also exposed to the new and various input on the pedagogical aspects such as lesson planning. Since primary school is a very important level to master the four skills that is listening, speaking, reading and writing skill. Now a days students have difficulties in speaking and writing skill. Students are reluctant to speak in English because they are lacking of confidence and vocabulary in them. Students also very poor in writing. Due to the problems facing by the students and teachers, the government has taken a drastic move before it was too late by introducing the MBI. During the course, the facilitators have tried their best to help teachers to overcome the problems. During her speech, Datin did mentioned about the challenges facing by the teachers today is different from hers days. Datin advised the teacher to pragmatic all the input that they have gain through out the course to improve their lesson in the teaching and learning process. This is to equip their students to face the challenges when they enter secondary school. Representative of the group participants, Mr David Linang thanks the Director of the IPGM and the organising committee for organising such a meaningful course for them. He also thanks Ms Tan Lee Hoon and Mr Vasudevan Ramasami for being so patience with their behaviour and also for their hard work and efforts throughout the course. The course coordinator Ms Tan Lee Hoon hope that the teachers are able to apply what they have learnt from the course for the benefit of the students and the school. She also encourage the teachers to keep in touch in order to discuss and share their thoughts and ideas. Mr Vasudevan, encourage the teachers to create their own blog. Through blog the teachers can share their thought and ideas with not only their friends but also through the world. Congratulations, Bravo to the first phase of the MBI Pedagogy participants "...we have to make the language live ...not the language make us live.."
